FRIDAY

GlossyBox March - The Harrods Edition

Look what came Knock Knock Knocking on my door on the 12th of March! Im a sucker for a spoiler so i already knew way in advance that this months GlossyBox was a Special one and they had teamed up with Harrods.
After seeing some ambassadors for Glossybox put pictures and reviews of what they got on their blogs i was pretty hopeful and the excitement grew ... i longed for the Burberry lipstick which i seen in all the blogs i had looked at.

However what you want and what you get are two different things ....

in my box i recieved ...

Vanitas Versace Eau de Parfum  - i am rather fond of trying new fragrances and after recieving Illamasqua Freak in my previous GlossyBox i was quiet excited to try this. It comes in a beautiful golden cardboard box, it looks really classy and elegant.

The perfume opens with a number of floral notes which is very pleasant to the senses. Though a little loud initially, it soon settles down. The perfume stays on for 2-3 hours after which people near by you can’t smell it, but the fragrance stays on the clothes for good few more hours. The staying power is okay as compared to other Versace perfumes which I have tried. Don’t know about purchase this perfume as I have a lot of other names in mind to try.

Bliss body Butter -  I had never really considered Bliss as a “luxury” product, so I was a bit surprised when I received this Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter in my box. It was a strange combination but it’s actually just a light orangey fragrance which is always nice and refreshing!

Revive Intensite Creme Lustre SPF30 its £235 for 60ml. This is an anti-ageing product which i was shocked to find in my box as im only 18! It feels light and non greasy, but I’ve yet to try it out properly so I’ll keep you all posted!

Lancome Juicy Tube in Toffee - It's the original squeezy tube lipgloss with slanted applicator. The glosses are quite thick, smooth and extremely glassy-glossy and it is scented. i was quite dissappointed with this being in my box as i keep getting lipglosses!

Clarins Firming Body Cream -   I’m not a fan of body creams in all honestly, they sound great but I’ve never really seen any visible difference, I’m obviously going to try this offering from Clarins but I’m not getting my hopes up.

All in all i loved the lush monochrome box but all the hype about the harrods box was an exaggeration in my eyes i was quite dissappointed in the box after all two anti-age creams and a lipgloss in nude like the past two boxes i felt let down by GlossyBox as i feel they never even looked at my beauty profile.

What did you think about this months GlossyBox ???

TUESDAY

February's GlossyBox

Look what i got yesterday! ...

... i will admit i was rather dissappointed with this months box but i know other people would've loved their GlossyBox.

This box was inspired by London Fashion Week, which i thought they wouldve had a quirky design on the box to make it different but Oh Well.

Contents in my box ...

Duwop Venom Gloss in Buttercup -
If beautiful shine with stunning color and the Venom tingle is what you're looking for, Venom Gloss delivers. Blending that same spicy concoction of cinnamon, wintergreen and ginger with skin softening ingredients like jojoba, avocado and sunflower oil, beeswax for protection, and green tea for soothing, Venom Gloss gives you full, soft, hydrated lips.i've wanted to try Duwop for a long time and now i had my chance! i LOVE lipglosses so this was right up my street. it does say it tingles and thats no exaggeration!

Dr Bronner Magic Liquid Soap -
Unlike any you’ve ever used. A combination of organic extra virgin coconut, olive, jojoba and hemp oils, together with pure essential oils, creates a unique soap that cleans effectively without being aggressive and produces a velvety-lather that leaves the skin silky-smooth and refreshed. i was dissappointed with this as in my previous box i have recieved soaps. Let me try something else! this was my full sized product.

Paul Mitchell Round Trip -
Adds weightless bounce and detail to curls and waves.
Also never tried Paul Mitchell's products but im looking forward to this as i like curling my hair.

BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in Dusty Road -
Check out our four beautiful collections of BM Beauty 100% pure mineral eyeshadows. There's a collection to suit every mood. From the day time natural look of an Earthy Princess to the sultry sophistication of Starry Eyed Glamour.BM Beauty mineral eyeshadows are free from parabens, synthetic dyes and fragrances, fillers, bismuth oxychloride, nano particles and animal products.  i have used mineral eyeshadows before and i really like them, i do wish i got the pink colour that other people got in there boxes as thats more my shade.

Como Shambhala -
Full of energising essential oils, Invigorate Lotion is a light moisturiser, perfect for the morning, just after a shower or bath to really wake you up and ready you, even on Mondays... COMO Shambhala Invigorate Lotion has a beautiful, unisex aroma of Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lavender and Peppermint and comes in eco-friendly packaging.
yet another body lotion ... another item i recieved in previous Glossy Boxes in different brands.

However i was intrigued by this little card ...

... What will be the mystery box?!?!

ill review my products further once ive tested them!

WEDNESDAY

January's Glossy Box

Januarys glossy box was a delightful fuchsia pink box .. my favourite box so far!!!
this months box was for all the lovely ladies out there for valentines day!
inside the box the products were beautifully packaged as always ...

as i peeled carefully at the cute little heart sticker my excitment grew of what was instore ....

the contents i recieved were -

Murad Skin Perfecting Primer

this was a 5ml sample size product, i normally use Benefits' that gal primer although Murad is in a completely different league, i found that on days where i couldnt be bothered putting all my make up on applying this primer gave me a tint a sort of healthy glow which makes a difference to my very pale skin and days i did wear this underneath my foundation it prolonged my makeup length if stay.

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Powder Pink

i recieved the full sized liner in the pale pink tone, it was really nice easy to apply and very precise, however the colour was too light for me i wish i had got the blue, green or black in this as i would have benefitted from them more. i will be purchasing this in another colour and keeping the pink to use as a highlighting pencil.

Fab Gentle Body Wash

already a fan of fab thanks to Glossy Box this product was no different .. it virtually does what it says on the tin 'calm redness and relieve dry skin', im prone to dry bad skin and this worked wonders on my skin, my skin was soft and smooth FAB-ulous!!!

Davines Authentic Cleansing Nectar

Never used Davines before and i have yet to use this but basically its a product you can use on your hair face and body ... save your pennies i suppose.

Davines Authentic Moisturising Balm

75ml Sample tube of conditioning balm for hair face and body, yet again i have still not tested this product but ill let you know how i get on once i have!

and finally there was a small sweetie as a finishing touch.

what were your views?  how did you like this months Glossy Box?! Are you thinking about signing up?

stay pretty powerful with love xoxox

THURSDAY

December's Glossy Box

This is a quick post about Glossy Box's Christmas Edition ... i was very excited when i opened the cardboard outer wrapping to find a very sexy fiery red box! Inside was the white tissue wrap with a black ribbon tie and a gold sticker seal, way different to the usual standard Glossy Box we recieve!

The contents were chose to prepare you for christmas although one item i didnt like that much .. read on to find out why!?

The contents ...

Cargo Classic Lipgloss

i love my lipglosses/lipsticks and this one was no different, i recieved a sample size of the nude colour which i was very pleased with. As with any lipgloss it applied easily and not sticky like some cheaper brands but Cargo have, in my eyes, been able to create a lipgloss which is long lasting durable lipgloss and i have purchased the full sized product (£10) as i was so impressed with the quality.

Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Nail Polish with Stripper to Go Sachet

i wasnt impressed with Razzle Dazzle to be honest, the consistency of the nail lacquer isnt very good its too watery and theres too much glitter in it so when you apply a coat onto your nails theres no colour just glitter i had to apply 3 times before i got an ounce of colour however when i got the colour i was expecting first time round the nail polish stayed for over a week before chipping! the stripper to go sachet was one of the best nail polish removers i have used, its not harsh on your nails and could ultimately be used for more than 10 digits.

Fab Essential Face Cleanser

i use this every day since the day my glossy box arrived its recommended you use daily morning and night but i use this only in the morning. you apply just a little to your face using your finger tips and rinse off with water. im so glad my nearest boots store stocks this otherwise id be lost without it! go on girls get some FABulousness!!!

Nouveau Lashes Noir Mascara

Never heard of Nouveau Lashes before but correct me if im wrong im sure theyre the same company that do HD Brows ... the only down side to this mascara is that its a wee bit to moist, dont blink otherwise you'll have a snail trail under your eyes! not a good look!

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel

what can i say other than ... smells great lathers really well and does the job it says on the bottle!

love and as always stay..
Pretty Powerful xoxo

THURSDAY

November's Glossy Box

hi there beautiful ladies,

this is my very first blog... im starting off with Novembers Glossybox!
my friend, blogger of poochytails.blogspot.com claire introduced me to glossybox ... Glossybox is basically a subscription to your door where you get to try out lots of lovely products for £12.95 a month. http://home.glossybox.co.uk/

i was very excited when this came to my door! Beautifully packaged in a pale pink box, i carefully unwrapped it to reveal the contents inside ....

Illamasqua  Freak Eau De Parfum -

the first fragrance from British beauty brand Illamasqua, this was a sample sized product. i am very optimistic when trying sample perfumes as usually i dont like them, however i really liked FREAK and i will be purchasing the full sized product asap!

Arbonne FC5 Ultra Hydrating Hand Creme

i really like hand creams and Arbonnes one was no different i loved the smell but careful not to apply too much as it leaves your hands feeling greasy.

Monu Revitalising Moisturiser
i gave this product ago, i normally use a clarins moisturiser but i couldnt use it as the two occassions i did my skin tingled and hurt, i did think it smelt fresh but my skin didnt like it!
Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps
i recieved the red lacey ones, i have previously used another brand of these before (trendy nail wraps) so i partially knew what to expect, although the design wasnt me i gave these ago they lasted no more than a week on my fingernails but were easy to apply and remove.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Bath Salts
as soon as i recieved these i jumped in a bath i have heard alot of good reviews but i have never bothered to try these. once i came out my relaxing bath, my skin was soft and subtle i was very impressed that these little salts could be pretty powerful!!
Hopefully i did okay for my first blog! will try to write another as soon as i can...
